A commerce graduate and alumnus of the Wharton School of Management, Mr Ratan Jindal is the Chairman of India’s leading stainless steel manufacturer, Jindal Stainless.
Jindal Stainless has an annual turnover of US $4.75 billion (as of March 25) and is part of the over US $38 billion O P Jindal Group. Incorporated in 1970 with its first unit in Hisar, Haryana, Jindal Stainless has grown from a producer of stainless steel products to a worldwide provider of innovative and sustainable stainless solutions, envisioning a stainless and corrosion-free future.
The company is ramping up its facilities to reach an annual melt capacity of 4.2 million tonnes by FY27. It has two stainless steel manufacturing complexes in India, in the states of Haryana and Odisha. On the personal front, Mr Ratan Jindal is a keen golfer and takes an avid interest in tennis and cricket.
Mr. Deepak Kesharlal Agiwal (Whole Time Director), holds a degree of B.E (Chemical Engineering) from Pune University. He accomplished executive with 23 years of versatile experience in reputed paper, chemical and steel industries. Result oriented, decisive leader with business acumen and proven success in handling projects, operations, commercial and corporate strategy, supply chain management with a track record of excelling and leading in dynamic and demanding environments with change responsiveness, vibrant and evolving customer relationship management, value addition to different stakeholders and so on.
Sanchit Soni, AVP and Head (Sales and Marketing), Jindal Ferrous Ltd (JFL), brings with him
an extensive experience of 30+ years in the steel industry. He has earlier served at Steel
Authority of India Limited (SAIL) across all sales verticals including significant leadership
roles as Branch Manager and Regional Business Manager at various locations. Throughout his
illustrious career, he has demonstrated exceptional sales & marketing skills, achieving notable
success in expanding market reach and driving sales growth. His strategic vision and leadership
have consistently delivered outstanding results.
Sanchit Soni holds an engineering degree in Metallurgy from Punjab Engineering College,
Chandigarh, a prestigious institution, which has provided him with a strong foundation in both
technical and managerial skills. His comprehensive understanding of the steel industry,
combined with his proven track record, makes him a valuable asset.
In his role as AVP and Head (Sales & Marketing) in JFL, he leads the sales and marketing
initiatives of the company with strategic insight and operational excellence, driving growth and
success in the competitive carbon steel market.
Dr. Shiv Kumar Singal (Independent Director) acquired M.Sc. (Hons. School) Zoology in 1973 and Ph. D. Zoology-Entomology in 1981 from Panjab University Chandigarh. Dr. Singal’s long experience of 35 years as Professor cum Scientist at CPRI, Shimla, Panjab University Chandigarh and CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has been acclaimed by various Organizations both in India and abroad. Dr. Singal has published more than 90 Research Papers in reputed National and International Journals. He developed technologies for the management of stored grain pests which were included in the Package of Practices particularly for small scale storage of pulses. He has served as Member, Board of Studies (Zoology), Punjabi University, Patiala and Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Dr. Singal also possesses eleven years of medical expertise by having supervised the general administrator and development of a large charitable tertiary care hospital at Hisar as chief Administrator.
His expertise in the field of development of Post-Harvest Technology and subsequent popularising of innovative and environment friendly storage structures made of different type of steels including solar bed technology proved highly effective and useful for safe storage of grains without using any insecticides in rural areas. Further exploration of scientifically built stainless steel small and large silos and bins for safe storage of grains etc. will reduce the Post-harvest losses of grains against moisture, Insects and rodents at national level and hence will boost the Agricultural economy.
Shruti (Kanodia) Shrivastava holds a B.A. LLB. (Hons.) degree from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru with a gold medal and is currently the Managing Partner of Sagus Legal. She has over 17 years of experience in general corporate advisory, M&A, private equity, venture capital, business restructuring, projects, insolvency, banking and finance. She advises clients across a wide range of industries spanning power, automobiles, manufacturing, chemicals, retail, real estate, hospitality, infrastructure on complex legal, regulatory, and strategic matters. Prior to founding Sagus Legal, she was a Partner in the corporate transactions team at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi. She began her career at S&R Associates, New Delhi. She is on the boards of listed and unlisted companies as an Independent Director.
